Biography of Wolfgang Ficker
Wolfgang Ficker is an experienced sound and lighting master who has been active in the show and event industry since the 1970s. He is a pioneer of sound and lighting technology, whose expertise and professionalism have shaped numerous national and international productions. His homepage, wolfgangficker.de, is not only a calling card but also a piece of internet history and a glimpse into the world of show business.
It was in the 1970s when a young man named Wolfgang Ficker began to help shape the world of music and theater. But it soon became clear: he was not just a technician, but a master of light. This is how his stage name came into being: Wolfgang F. Lightmaster.
From Gig to Gig
At first, he traveled from gig to gig, often with few resources but with unwavering passion. He learned that success does not depend solely on the stars, but also on those who lay the invisible foundation behind the scenes. He was not a star in the spotlight, but without him there would have been no spotlight at all. Musicians trusted him because he enabled the audience not only to hear but also to feel the music.
The Master of Light

With them, he toured Germany, Austria, Switzerland – and later as far as Canada, South Africa, and Namibia. More than 3,000 shows bear his signature, each a small masterpiece.

Wolfgang F. Lightmaster is not only a technician but also, as a witness of his era, a chronicler of show business. He tells of the wild 70s, when everything was improvised. Of the 80s, when technology exploded. Of the 90s, when show business became a vast machinery.
